Annual Lev L'Achim Gathering Held in Bnei Brak

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

The annual Lev L'Achim rally was held on Monday 26 Nisan in Bnei Brak. Thousands came to hear maranan verabonon speak at the event which lasted more than six hours from three in the afternoon. This even brings together thousands of activists from all over the country.

Maran HaRav Y. S. Eliashiv sent a letter which was read to the gathering. This letter appears here in translation:

Bs"d, 26 Nisan 5760

To the participants in the gathering of the activists of the Lev L'Achim organization, headed by the rabbonim hageonim shlita,

Sholom rav.

May those who have assembled lesheim Shomayim in order to devise ways to draw their fellow Jews closer to Torah and mitzvos and to save them from straying, be blessed from the Source of blessings.

Fortunate are they, and fortunate is the portion of the members and volunteers of the Pe'ilim Lev L'Achim organization, who have accomplished wonders in their outreach work in general, in the registration of students to Torah institutions in particular, with much skill and with the utmost loyalty. The blessing they have seen in their efforts to draw the distant closer to Torah have far exceeded their expectations, and they have brought many many Jewish children to Torah institutions.

As the registration of the forthcoming school year approaches, these activities must be expanded with added momentum, and the efforts to save Jewish souls from straying must be increased. It is of the utmost urgency for everyone participate in this sacred effort and to make maximal efforts to register children in institutions where they will be inculcated with emunah and yiras Shomayim.

May it be Hashem's will that all those who are involved in such deeds be strengthened in their sacred labor, and blessed from the Source of blessings. May their Torah be ever preserved, and their labor, which is a meleches Shomayim, be blessed.

With the Blessing of the Torah,

Yosef Sholom Eliashiv
