placed in Yated Neeman and other major chareidi newspapers in
Eretz Yisroel as well as put up in posters. Since, due to our many sins, a number of breaches in
tsnius have resulted from the use of the computer, we
hereby declare that this issue is of the utmost important to
us, and that the future of beis Yisroel is dependent
on the observance of proper parameters of tsnius. What is Wrong with the Internet?
The American gedolim warned of its dangers some two
years ago. Now the rabbonim in Eretz Yisroel, a broad

should not use the Internet privately, nor watch CD-Roms or
videos on the computer. Through Eyes That Shine I received a phone call this morning from someone I hardly

Chodesh party last night and a friend of yours brought her
photo album. There was one photo there that simply took my
breath away. A girl with red hair, sparkling intelligent
eyes, and a dark blue dress. `Who is this child?' I asked.
Your friend answered that it was a picture of your daughter.
What can I say? She's so beautiful!
Living Out of a Suitcase
The last day for Kiddush Levonoh -- Shevat
One can say Kiddush Levonoh in the entire world until
Friday afternoon, 14 Shevat (Jan. 21), at 12:26 P.M., Israeli
time. The actual final time in Eretz Yisroel, Europe, and
eastern America is therefore the entire Thursday night, the
eve of 14 Shevat (Jan. 20). In western America the final time
is according to the difference in time zones in comparison to
Eretz Yisroel. In the extreme eastern countries if one did
not make Kiddush Levonoh before leil Shabbos it
is preferable he make a brocho at that time then to
forfeit the mitzvah altogether, and can make
Kiddush Levonoh only at the beginning of that night
according to the difference in time zones in comparison to
Eretz Yisroel.
The astronomical full moon is approximately five and three
quarter hours earlier than the nigud emtzo'i and comes
together with a lunar eclipse and is at 6:41 A.M.
It seems that one can make a brocho in western U.S.A.
and Canada until the beginning of the full eclipse at 8:06
P.M., the local time in western U.S.A. and Canada for the
beginning of the full eclipse, but not afterwards, and not
even after the end of the eclipse although it is before the
nigud emtzo'i. Likewise in the other areas of America
and Europe one should make Kiddush Levonoh with a
brocho only until the beginning of the full eclipse.
In the extreme eastern countries it is therefore impossible
to make a brocho on leil Shabbos.
