A founding meeting for the Kiryat Yeshivas HaRan Torah
institutions in the Kiryat Brachfeld neighborhood of Modi'in
Illit area was held last week at the home of the pillar of
halachic authority, HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv. The
meeting was attended by gedolei Yisroel, rabbonim and
communal figures.
HaRav Eliashiv has encouraged the founding of the Kiryat
Yeshivas HaRan institutions. Among institutions due to open
shortly are the Kollel Nezer Avrohom Yaakov, named after
Avrohom Yaakov Gross and donated by his son HaRav Shlomo
Gross, one of the world's greatest Torah supporters; the
Yechi Reuven Talmud Torah; the Ateres Siach school, named
after Rebbetzin Sheina Chaya Eliashiv, and the Nezer Rochel
kindergarten network, named after Rebbetzin Rochel
Auerbach.
The founding of the Brachfeld community and its institutions
constitutes an additional link in the chain of Yeshivas HaRan
institutions in Beitar, Telz-Stone, Givat Zeev, Elad and
other places.
Divrei Torah uvrocho were delivered at the meeting by
HaRav Shmuel Auerbach and HaRav Tzvi Weissfish, the rosh
yeshiva of Yeshivas HaRan.
Additional apartments at reasonable prices will be built soon
in Kiryat Brachfeld. This chain of Kiryat Yeshivas HaRan
projects will help ease the bnei Torah community
housing shortage. Gedolei Yisroel praise these
projects, especially since they do not involve brokerage fees
or profit. They lauded the rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas
HaRan for his extensive efforts on behalf of the community,
all lesheim Shomayim.
The gathering was attended by HaRav Chaim Shaul Karelitz, the
gaavad of Shearis Yisroel, HaRav Yehoshua Eichenstein,
rosh yeshiva of Yad Aharon, HaRav Meir Kessler, HaRav
Yisroel Zicherman, HaRav Shmuel Weissfish, HaRav Avrohom
Eliashiv, HaRav Yaakov Alpa, HaRav Tzvi Oddeser, HaRav Y.
Freiman and many other rabbonim and communal leaders.
