by Betzalel Kahn

Registration for Beis Yaakov Daycare Centers throughout the country for the coming 5761 school year began on Wednesday, 12 Iyar, ending on Monday 24 Iyar (May 29).

Parents may register their children for daycare centers in Jerusalem, Beitar, Arad, Chatzor Hagelilit, Emanuel, Haifa, Chazon Yechezkel, Kfar Gidon, Elad, Petach Tikvah, Moshav Batzra, Moshav Tifrach, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, Beit Shemesh and Ramat Beit Shemesh.

Children of working mothers as well as children from large families are eligible for reduced tuition payments, according to criteria set up by the Labor and Welfare Ministry. Parents must present the following documents at the time of registration: salary stubs for March 2000 or tax statements from 1999 for independent workers, noting the mother's weekly work hours. Working mothers with three children under the age of eighteen are eligible for reduced tuition if they work 24 hours a week. Parents referred to registration centers by local welfare offices must present letters from their social worker.

Registration will take place on Monday and Thursday 9-12 a.m. and on Monday and Wednesday, 12-6 p. m. Children who attended the day care centers last year must reregister for the coming year.
