Last Monday, the Knesset plenum approved UTJ's summation
proposal regarding the political deliberations. 43 Knesset
members voted in favor of UTJ's proposal, 37 opposed it and
30 abstained from the vote.
UTJ's summation reads:
a) The Knesset calls on the Government of Israel to do its
utmost to prevent bloodshed;
b)The Knesset calls to all parts of the Nation to display
mutual respect, and not to transform the elections into an
incitement campaign against others.
c) The Knesset calls on all of the citizens of Israel to
strengthen their knowledge of the values of Judaism, to
respect the values of Jewish tradition, and to strengthen the
day of rest, our sacred Shabbos.
