Purchasers of apartments in the Tel-Tzion project in northern
Jerusalem will benefit from an additional grant of 20
thousand shekels. This grant will be given to all purchasers,
according to the deputy Housing Minister Rabbi Meir
Porush.
This special form of assistance will be given in order to
spur this and similar new settlements. A list of the
settlements in which this grant is given was decided by the
Prime Minster and Rabbi Porush.
With the addition of this grant, those who buy apartments in
the Tel-Tzion project will be given minimum benefits NIS 178
thousand, based on personal eligibility. The minimum portion
of this aid which is a grant will be NIS 84,100.
Housing Ministry spokesman Moshe Friedman said that the
Ministry began work on the infrastructure of Tel-Tzion a year
ago. The work is being done by the S. Shem Tov company.
According to the master plan prepared by the Administration
for Rural Building, 5000 units are slated to be built. 220
units are presently in the process of being built on the
site, and work on the development of the infrastructure for
250 more has begun.
The Housing Ministry says that another project similar to
that of Tel-Tzion in the north of Yerushalayim will soon be
underway.
