A group of members of the Da'as Emes organization provoked an
altercation on Rabbi Akiva Street, Bnei Brak's main
thoroughfare, when they arrived there and began to distribute
incendiary and blasphemous material directed against the
chareidi public and the Jewish faith and tradition.
The group, which included eight people, arrived on Rabbi
Akiva Street in the evening, and began distributing the
material. A fray erupted between them and residents of the
city who surrounded them. The police were summoned to the
site, and detained six members of the group for investigation
in the Dan region police headquarters.
During the evening, two more members of the group arrived,
and told the police that they had been attacked by residents
of the city. The police are investigating the matter.
