Government Workers to Take Pesach Vacation

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

As in years past, most Government offices and support units will close on yom tov Pesach and Chol Hamoed. They will be closed from Wednesday erev Pesach, the 31st of March, until Thursday, the 8th of April.

The State Service Commission issued directives to all Government offices stating that this organized vacation will take effect only in those offices whose services are not required by the public on a continual basis. In addition, offices were instructed to man departments which deal with the public with duty clerks to handle emergency cases.

The planned, organized vacation was agreed upon between the State Services Commission and the Federation of State Employees as a result of the success of this arrangement in previous years.
