The call went out to strengthen the attempts to spread
knowledge of Torah and Jewish tradition among the youth of
Israel as thousands were inspired to redouble their
efforts.
Maran HaRav Eliashiv issued a letter to the rally, saying (in
part), "Happy are they and admirable is their lot who
volunteered with Lev L'Achim in their wonderful work of
registering students in Torah institutions last year, and
they saw blessing in their efforts. . . . All those who do
and organize these efforts should be strengthened in them,
and be blessed from the fount of blessings. May their Torah
be preserved and their work, which is the work of Heaven, be
blessed."
The gedolim of America also issued an enthusiastic
letter of support.
