Thursday, the 23 of Av marked the 14th yahrtzeit of
rosh kol bnei hagola, HaRav Yaakov Yisroel Kanievsky
zt"l. As in former years, throngs of Jews from all
over the country streamed to Bnei Brak in order to pray at
his grave. Supplications for private deliverance as well as
overall prayers for Klal Yisroel, which has recently
suffered so many tragedies such as the untimely
petiros of children and avreichim, were
recited.
After vosikin, HaRav Chaim Kanievsky delivered a
shiur in memory of his father in the Lederman beis
medrash.The topic discussed was shichechas sumo
(Peah, Chapter 6, mishna 11).
