Prayers on Yom Kippur Koton for the Recovery of the Rosh Yeshiva of Torah Vodaas in Brooklyn

by Betzalel Kahn

On Wednesday afternoon, Yom Kippur Koton of erev Rosh Chodesh Elul, thousands of Jews plan to gather at the Kosel and recite fervent prayers for the swift recovery of HaRav Avrohom Yaakov ben Rochel Pam, the president of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of America and rosh yeshiva of Torah Vodaas.

The schedule calls for them to recite the Yom Kippur Koton service at 6 p.m., and then mincha and selichos. They will pray for the full recovery of HaRav Pam, and all of the other of sick people who are in need of much rachmei Shomayim. Prayer shifts are currently being held in the main shul of Meah Shearim, due to the unfortunate calamities which have recently occurred. These shifts are to continue for three consecutive days, on a 24-hour-a-day basis.
