Talmud Torah Students Miraculously Saved From Katyusha Rockets

by Betzalel Kahn

A great miracle occurred last Thursday, when Katyusha rockets fell a few meters away from a group of talmud Torah children from Jerusalem. The students had been on their annual class trip near Shlomi, a small town in the Western Galilee.

As they were hiking, they suddenly found themselves in the thick of a Katyusha attack in which missiles landed all along the country's northern border, causing serious damages.

The children were in the Nachal Betzet area, near Shlomi, when the screeches of missiles were heard. As they were still wondering what was happening, some missiles landed a few meters away from them. By a miracle, no one was hurt.

The children were frightened, but regained their composure very quickly, and began to recite Tehillim with their teachers. Realizing that missiles had fallen in other places in the north, they prayed for the safety and well-being of the people in those areas.

The children returned to Jerusalem Thursday night, safe and sound, filled gratitude to HaKodosh Boruch Hu for the great miracle which had befallen them.
