The Moetzos Gedolei HaTorah of Degel HaTorah and Agudas
Yisroel met on Monday to deliberate on the negotiations for
the establishment of the government, and the proposed
agreement.
The two Councils told UTJ's negotiating team to complete the
coalition agreement with a number of changes.
The Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisroel met in the home
of the Admor of Vishnitz, the President, and the Moetzes
Gedolei HaTorah of Degel met in the Degel HaTorah
Headquarters in Bnei Brak.
The Knesset representatives of UTJ and its negotiating team
appeared before the two councils and presented the details of
the agreement which is currently being formulated between UTJ
and One Israel, regarding their joining the coalition. The
representatives sought the guidance of the gedolei
Yisroel.
After a lengthy deliberation, the following decision was
reached:
"The Moetzos Gedolei HaTorah, after seeing the agreement
which is being formulated, instructed the negotiating team to
complete the agreement and to make a number of corrections
and completions."
