This Sunday night marked the beginning of the 47th annual cycle of the Yarchei Kallah yeshiva. The yeshiva, which is situated in the main heichal of the Ponovezh yeshiva of Bnei Brak, will last for two weeks during which shiurim will be delivered to its many participants.
The first session of the Yarchei Kallah yeshiva was opened by HaRav Eliezer Kahaneman, son of the president of the Ponovezh yeshiva and its institutions, as well as by the roshei yeshiva of Ponovezh.
The Yarchei Kallah yeshiva was founded 47 yeas ago by the rov of Ponovezh, its first rosh yeshiva, HaRav Yosef Shlomo Kahaneman. Since then, every year families from all over the country, and indeed from all over the world, flock to Ponovezh during the summer bein hazmanim, in order to absorb the yeshiva's atmosphere, and to be full-fledged bnei yeshiva for two weeks.
Over the next two weeks the talmidim of the Yarchei Kallah yeshiva will participate in a rich program of shiurim, in which they will study the masechtos of Bava Basra and Challah. Shiurim will be delivered by the roshei yeshiva and by prominent rabbonim.
