Bostoner chassidim held their first tefillos at
Kedushas Pinchos, the new Bostoner beis hamedrash in
Beitar Illit, on parshas Vayechi. Makeshift
preparations enabled the still-not-quite-completed building
to accommodate the many guests. Most prominent among them was
the son of the Admor, Reb Meir Horowitz, head of
Bostoner institutions in Eretz Yisroel.
Final completion of the building is set at several weeks from
now. The official chanukas habayis will take place with
the Admor's return from his stay in the U.S. Until now
Bostoner chassidim in Beitar used the home of HaRav
Moshe Shimon Horowitz, a grandson of the admor who
resides in Beitar and is also rav of the Beitar
chassidim. With growing crowds making this option no
longer viable, the ahead-of-schedule move to the new quarters
was decided upon.
At the conclusion of Shabbos, many additional guests arrived
from all over Beitar for a festive melave malka. They
included the mara de'asra, HaRav D. Z. Ordentlich,
Council Head Rabbi Y. Gerlitz, his two assistants, Rabbi
Akiva Ovitz and Rabbi Y. Z. Pinchos, among many others.
