How to Spend Less Than You Earn
by Nechama Berg and Chaya Levine

Book Corner:
A Non-Introduction
by Sheindel Weinbach

We are not going to introduce this book right off the bat. We are not promoting it for anyone. Just tickling your fancy, giving you a taste, introducing you to a new vista: the world of words and their associations, where they can lead to: in short, the treasury of Tanach through a marvelous medium. One book coupled with the endless limits of your mind.

POET'S CORNER
Generation Gap
by A. Reader

For twenty years I did my best
To bring up kids with whom I was blessed.
I blew them bubbles, sailed their boats,
Kept them from each other's throats.
Looked after them with swollen glands,
I picked them up to wash their hands.
Put on nappies, tied their laces,
Wiped their noses, dried their faces.
Heard their mishnas, helped them write,
Showed them how to make a kite.
A child, when playing all alone,
Doesn't give a squeak, or moan,
But children playing in twos and threes,
Drive you mad in slow degrees.
Spurned are games a mother proposes,
More fun to squirt each other with hoses.
They inform her loudly with tears and glares,
That everyone's toy is better than theirs.
"It's time for bed" - they start to weep,
"Get up to daven" - they want to sleep.
Oh, little women and little men,
You've grown up now, I love you again.
I've earned my rest to repair the ravages,
Caused by all you little "savages."
Now when you come and bring your dears,
Old age has dulled my once sharp ears.
I do not hear them scream and fight,
I love them by day, don't hear them by night.
