OPINION & COMMENT The conflicts in what was once Yugoslavia have been festering for years with recurring horrors and atrocities. It is an area that is hard to understand because of the many different ethnic groups interacting in one area. Current events are difficult and confusing, and their historic roots are obscure. How Children Flourish or Flounder Ours is a world where people are looking for an easy life, a good time, and instant gratification. As a result it is natural that, when confronted with difficulties and obstacles, modern man quickly plummets into despair. Anti-Religion is the Ultra-Fanatic Religion The enthusiastic support extended by the media to Israel's Supreme Court, and the full backing offered by the secular camp for its rulings, should be carefully studied by us. We are not referring to the hooligan style declarations loudly aired by the Leftist Camp, but to what is hidden underneath them. Thwarted Expectations A feeling of distress and concern is felt among the Torah- true in Eretz Yisroel due to the continual erosion of religious matters. For decades the jurisdiction in fundamental religious matters has been in the hands of those loyal to the Torah, but this arrangement is visibly crumbling due to the extensive support those who wish to uproot Judaism receive from judges in Israel's courts.
