The Toras Chaim — HaRav Chaim of Kossov, zt"l

In honor of his yahrtzeit, 25 Iyar (5614)

The gedolim of his time held R' Chaim in high regard, even as a young man.

In fact, HaRav Hagodol R' Yehoshua Heshel of Apta remarked to his son, "You see this avreich — a tzaddik ben tzaddik, melech ben melech!"

Rabbi Chaim's hours were devoted to Torah study. Even at night he would allow himself only one or two hours of sleep, after which he would arise and learn until it was daybreak and time to daven shacharis.

On the day of his father's yahrtzeit, he would arrange to finish Shas Bavli, the Rambam and the Rif
