Unprecedented Anti-Chareidi Violence Unleashed in Flare-Ups Around the Country

By L.S. Wasserman

The unchecked hatred and provocation in places around the country on the part of the secular sector have reached an all-time high, as more and more people were attacked merely for looking chareidi. The anti- chareidi incitement does not end with provocations and graffiti on the wall.

In Ofakim a policeman spat on a 10-year-old boy with his seven-year-old sister at his side.

In Ashdod, after an avreich boarded the No. 8 bus, without any provocation a woman unleashed a torrent of invectives against the chareidi public. Following a second incident in Ashdod, in which a man threatened to kill chareidim, UTJ Knesset members have asked Atty. Yehuda Weinstein to demand the man be arrested and brought to trial for incitement to murder.

Meanwhile, an avreich in Ramat Gan, waiting at a bus stop on Rechov Jabotinsky, was shocked when a car stopped near him and the young men inside proceeded to hurl insults, including a threat that soon he would be "under the wheels of the car."

In Jerusalem, anti-chareidi violence by secular thugs provoked by the unprecedented incitement against the chareidi sector, is ongoing. In a shocking incident on Monday morning, a ten-year-old girl riding a bus to school, was beaten by a secular assailant for no known reason.
