The CRIF: The Anti-Semitic Attack in Lyons is an Extension of the Murders in Toulouse
By Arnon Jaffe, Paris

Police cars are parked on Rue Francis de Francois opposite the Beis Menachem Boyle School in the suburb of Lyons. Investigators from a police judicial unit are making a house-to-house search for the Arab attackers of the three Jewish youths who were injured from blows by a hammer and metal bars as they were en route to mincha. This additional anti- Semitic assault in France almost ended in their deaths. The community cannot understand why the attackers, who are well known in the quarter, are not being apprehended, and all signs clearly point to Islamic groups operating in Lyons.

The world of Torah was plunged into deep mourning with the bitter news of the passing on Monday, 14th of Sivan, of one of the major Torah disseminators of Torah who produced, in his last twenty years, cadres of great talmidei chachomim and gedolei Torah umussar, and who, besides, had the privilege of studying under the Torah giants of the previous generation. The Mashgiach" Reb Yeruchom Levovitz, zt"l

In Honor of His Yahrtzeit, 18 Sivan

The long nails of the maskilim were digging ever deeper into the walls of holiness in Am Yisroel. Particularly targeted and all the more vulnerable were the bochurim of the yeshivos, whom the maskilim knew were steeped in Torah's wisdom. They drew them into arguments, intending to sow seeds of doubt in their hearts - seeds that often took root and then grew, leaving the young boys confused, and eventually leading them astray.
