By Yechiel Sever

The National Center for Holy Sites is set to meet with various officials to summarize this year's Lag B'Omer at R' Shimon Bar Yochai's grave site in Meron and to begin making preparations for next year based on this year's arrangements, which successfully accommodated the mass convergence on the site without glitches. Traffic flowed smoothly and all of the various details needed to handle the large volume of visitors were in place.

Rav Yosef Shvinger, director of the National Center for Holy Sites, told the Hebrew Yated Ne'eman, "Besiyata deShmaya the campaign was a success and was free of any unusual mishaps. Everyone carried out their assigned task and all of the situations we encountered were properly handled.

"Transportation ran all hours of the day and night in fabulous order and quickly. Buses came in smoothly, dropping off hundreds of thousands of passengers at all hours of the day and night at the designated location opposite the site, and upon their safe return from it, refreshment stations were even set up in cooperation with the National Center."
