The Israeli Levaya of HaRav Chaim Stein zt"l

Thousands of bnei Torah, led by gedolei Yisroel shlita, laid to rest Friday afternoon in Jerusalem HaRav Chaim Stein zt"l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Telz in Cleveland, a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of America and a leading marbitz Torah from the previous generation.
The procession set out from Yeshivas Mir in Jerusalem's Beit Yisrael neighborhood after the aron arrived from Cleveland via Lakewood. It was met in the plaza outside the yeshiva by a large crowd waiting to pay their last respects to a vestige of the generation of Torah giants in pre-War Lithuania and a key figure in the revival of the Torah world in the US.
Hespeidim were delivered by HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel and HaRav Shmuel Yaakov Bournstein. Moving words of parting were said in the name of the students by HaRav Chaim Walkin, the menahel ruchani of Yeshivas Ateres Yisroel, and in the name of the family by the deceased's son-in-law, HaRav Weinberg.
