Turkey Arrests 6 Extremists Thought to Be Involved in Istanbul Bombings

Six individuals suspected of involvement in the simultaneous bombing attacks of two shuls in Istanbul in November 2003 and a third attack days later were arrested last week in Turkey.
The attacks, believed to have been carried out by Al Qaeda, claimed 63 lives, including nine Jews Hy"d. Six hundred people were wounded, including 100 Jews, among them the son of the Chief Rabbi of Turkey, HaRav Yitzchak Haliva. The shuls also sustained severe damage.
Turkish police latched onto the suspects during the course of "routine" searches of Muslim extremists in the country.
