Postal Company Announces Arrangement to Distribute Gas Masks to Larger Families
By Eliezer Rauchberger
The Israel Postal Company will provide large families home delivery of gas mask kits for a fee of NIS 25 per family, CEO Avi Hochman told MK Rabbi Uri Maklev, chairman of the Knesset Public Petitions Committee.
The announcement came during a tour by committee members of post office branches around the country to assess a series of complaints against the Postal Company the committee had received.
Rabbi Maklev asked how the gas mask distribution would be carried out and what accommodations the Postal Company had made for large families. Hochman replied that distribution methods varied: Individuals could visit their local post office branch and distribution stations would be set up at the larger branches. In peripheral locations where the branches would not be distributing the kits, Postal Company representatives would announce distribution days, notifying the local public where a distribution center would be set up.
The third option, especially suitable for families with a large number of children, is a delivery service available by calling a special phone number and paying NIS 25 to receive gas mask kits for the entire family.
