Kehillas Bnei Torah in Gilo Opens Nursery School
by Yated Ne'eman Staff
As the core of bnei Torah residents in Jerusalem's Gilo neighborhood continues to grow through the hundreds of avreichim who have already taken note of the potential the area offers and purchased apartments in Gilo Alef — including dozens of families that have already settled in the neighborhood along with others slated to arrive in the near future — educational institutions are now being set up under the guidance of HaRav A. Schlesinger, the rov of Gilo, starting with day-care centers for infants and toddlers up to age two (divided according to age groups) and a nursery school for children age two and over.
The new day-care centers, which include afternoon-care programs, were opened in response to growing demand as more and more children and kollel families arrive and to enable avreichim to cope with the high cost of private childcare, especially during this period of financial hardships.
