Vaadat Rabbonim LeInyonei Chinuch to Combat Court Petition
Filed Against Talmudei Torah

At the behest of gedolei Yisroel, including Maran
HaRav Eliashiv shlita, Vaadat Rabbonim LeInyonei
Chinuch will join forces with the Union of Yeshiva Managers
to counter a provocative petition to block funding of
talmudei Torah.
Submitted by the Reform-backed Movement for Quality
Government as part of its methodical campaign to undermine
chareidi institutions, the petition claims the Education
Ministry is legally prohibited from funding talmudei
Torah unless they allow the ministry to dictate the
curriculum.
After consulting with gedolei Yisroel principals
notified the Education Ministry of their intentions to
contest the petition. Since the petition was lodged against
all talmudei Torah separately, principals are urged
not to respond directly on an individual basis, but to act
collectively based on the directives of maranan
verabonon.
