Dirshu Holds Tenth Anniversary Gathering at Yad Eliyahu
By Yechiel Sever
Roshei yeshivos, admorim, rabbonim and over ten
thousand avreichim and bochurim who take the
Dirshu exams were on hand Tuesday 3 Nisan for Kinus Olom
HaTorah, an event at Yad Eliyahu in Tel Aviv to mark a decade
of Dirshu operations.
During the ten years since its founding the organization has
launched a variety of programs and significantly boosted
Torah study among avreichim and yeshiva students.
Gedolei Yisroel, who guide the organization every step
of the way, told Dirshu heads that the ten-year anniversary
is a "yoma tova lerabbonon." Throughout the year
numerous participants take part in a variety of programs,
such as Kinyon Shas with tests on the entire Shas, and
a Daf Yomi track with monthly tests on 30 blatt. Other
programs include Kinyon Halochoh, Kinyon Shevi'is and Bnei
Hayeshivos. This week's event marked the first time that all
of the various participants came together as one —
ke'ish echod beleiv echod.
Participants streamed in on Tuesday evening, many on
chartered buses arriving from various parts of the country,
and the event was broadcast live for ladies in the auditorium
in Bnei Brak's Ramat Elchanan neighborhood and also for
Dirshu participants at various locations around the world.
The event included a siyum haShas, speeches by
gedolei Yisroel and Kabbolas Ol Malchus Shomayim.
