Enthusiastic Response to Keren Shevi'is Fundraising
Drive

Keren Shevi'is heads were pleased with the wholehearted
response to the fundraising drive conducted on Shabbos
Parshas Behar, saying that thousands of Jews around the
country and in the Diaspora made donations to enable the
organization to support giborei koach farmers who are
not working their lands in Shevi'is.
On Monday over 150 farmers offered a special prayer at the
gravesite of R' Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron. Later in the day
they drove Nahariya to the beis knesses of HaRav Dovid
Chai Abuchatzeira, who held a special prayer for all those
who donated to and assisted Keren Shevi'is, which lends a
hand to the thousands of farmers keeping Shmittah faithfully,
despite the difficulties it entails. Among those on hand for
the tefilloh were Keren Hashevi'is Chairman Rav Ben-
Tzion Kugler and Board Member Rav Avrohom Rubinstein.
