Thousands of gedolei Torah, roshei yeshivos, bnei Torah and many of his talmidim took part in the levaya of HaRav Eliezer Sorotzkin zt"l, a ram at Yeshivas Telz in Cleveland and the founder of Telz-Stone and its various institutions in the mountains near Jerusalem, who passed away on 28 Av at the age of 92.

Singer Mordechai (Ben David) Werdiger announced his decision to comply with daas Torah by not performing in a concert (billed as an "erev shira") banned by gedolei Yisroel.

Avreich and Three Yeshiva Students Killed in Jeep Accident in Judean Desert

Stunned and shattered, thousands took part in the levayos for an avreich and three yeshiva students from Yeshivas Meor HaTorah in Telz-Stone who were killed late Monday 22 Av in a jeep accident in Nachal Pares in the Aravah. The victims were Sinai Sharazi and his brother Amir of Netanya, Gilad Dahari of Elyachin, and avreich Avrohom Rosenfeld z"l of Telz-Stone.

Large Cemetery Vandalized in Poland

Antisemites painted swastikas and other Nazi symbols on over 100 gravestones at one of Poland's largest Jewish cemeteries, located in the town of Czestochowa. On Sunday 21 Av visitors came upon the damage and summoned the police, who opened an investigation. No suspects have been arrested.
