PM Ehud Olmert was on hand when representatives of the
Worldwide Conservative Movement signed a partnership with
Kadima officials in the World Zionist Organization.
David Breakstone, a member of the Zionist Executive
representing the American Conservative Movement, known as
Merkaz USA, said, "We found in the Kadima Party an open door
and genuine support for our social-spiritual approach. We are
entering this partnership not just for the needs of the
Congress but see this as a strategy that will allow us to
influence all of Israeli society."
According to reports, PM Ehud Olmert approved the move,
praising the Conservative Movement and calling it "the most
important and the best of the central movements in
Israel."
Rabbonim and public figures said the Conservative Movement is
known to be a bunch of clowns driving a knife into the back
of the Jewish people and any cooperation with it is totally
wrong and useless. Their membership lists are exaggerated and
the members that they do have are very old.
