Levaya for Two Killed in Car Accident in Scotland

Hundreds attended the levaya of Avrohom Dov Potashnik in
Stamford Hill,London, led by HaRav Yosef Tzvi Halevi Dunner,
the elder rov of the United Kingdom. Speaking were Dayan
HaRav Aharon Dovid Halevi Dunner, rav of Beis Hamedrash Adas
Yisroel in London, the uncle of the niftar HaRav
Avrohom Katz, menahel of a seminary in Gateshead, and a
brother of the niftar.
Avrohom Dov Potashnik zt"l learned in Yeshivas Shaar
Hatorah in Manchester. On the way from Scotland through
London, the levaya passed through and stopped at the
yeshiva in Manchester at about midnight on Sunday night. The
rosh yeshiva, HaRav Gavriel Knopfler, was maspid.
Hundreds were also present at the levaya of Shimon
Adler in Golders Green, London. Speaking were HaRav Yehuda
Leib Witler, mashgiach of Yeshivas Tiferes Yaakov in
Gateshead, HaRav Tzvi Bakst, mashgiach of Yeshivas Tiferes
Yaakov, and HaRav Yaakov Yehuda Salomon, a ram in
Yeshivas Tiferes Yaakov.
Shimon Adler was a talmid of Yeshivas Tiferes Yaakov
in Gateshead. HaRav Ezriel Yaffeh is the rosh yeshiva.
Both bochurim attended the camp of Yeshivas Tiferes
Yaakov that is held in Scotland. On motzei Shabbos
there was a late melave malka that ended about 2:30 in
the morning. Seven bochurim left in a car to supervise
the cholov Yisroel milk, a trip that is normally a
five hour drive. About two hours into the trip, driving
through Scotland, a deer suddenly came out onto the road. The
driver was driving carefully and at a reasonable speed. He
spotted the deer and swerved to avoid it, but lost control
and the car crashed into a tree. The two bochurim were
killed on the spot, and the driver was seriously injured. At
first he was in a coma. He has come out of the coma but is
still in very serious condition.
