A stately ceremony was held in Beit Shemesh last week to mark
the appointment of HaRav Chaim Aharon Mondrer as rov of the
new Yeffeih Nof neighborhood currently being developed in the
city.
The event was held at Beis Medrash Tiferes Yaakov DeChassidei
Lelov. The first speaker was the new rov's father, the Admor
of Kosov, who gave an inspiring talk and then read aloud a
letter from the late Eida Chareidis Gavad HaRav Moshe Aryeh
Freund, who expressed his amazement over the rov's wide-
ranging knowledge when he was evaluated by HaRav Freund.
Other speakers included HaRav Nosson HaKohen Kopshitz,
moroh d'asro of the Nachala Umenucha neighborhood;
HaRav Yehoshua Rosenberg, rov of Kiryat HoRamo; HaRav Shmuel
Bransdorfer, who read aloud a letter sent by his father,
HaRav M. Bransdorfer; and HaRav Moshe Tuvioh Dinkel, moroh
d'asro of the Bayit Umenucha neighborhood.
The main address was given by HaRav Chaim Aharon Mondrer, who
offered thanks to Hashem for the special merit that had
become his lot. Rav Yehoshua Gluskin, speaking in the name of
Yeffeih Nof residents, welcomed the new rov.
Other rabbonim on hand included HaRav Shlomo Zalman
Perlstein, moroh d'asro of Ramat Beit Shemesh; HaRav
Elimelech Kornfeld, the rov of Kehilas HaGro; HaRav Naftoli
Tzvi Rotenberg, rov of Kahal Chassidim in Ramat Beit Shemesh;
HaRav Boruch Shimshon Hager, rov of Chassidei Vishnitz of
Monsey; the Admor of Bulchov; HaRav Yosef Yoel Kahn, son of
the Admor of Toldos Aharon; HaRav Dovid Tzvi Kahn, rov of
Chassidei Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok of Beit Shemesh; and
members of the Beis Ohavei Torah beis din, where HaRav
Chaim Aharon Mondrer has served as a member since it was
first set up. Other rabbonim in attendance were av beis
din HaRav Shabsai Vigder, HaRav Dovid Porush and HaRav
Chaim Sholom Lubetzky.
