The price of silver has been rising recently and on 10 Nisan
5764 it posted a new record of $8.17 per ounce. At that rate
the amount for pidyon haben is NIS 186 and the amount
of a prutoh is 4.42 agorot. One shekel can be used to
redeem [ma'aser sheini vereva'i] no more than 22
times.
