Shearis Yisroel Distributes Terumoh Oil to Kohanim

Hundreds of kohanim received 4-liter canisters
containing terumoh gedoloh and terumas ma'aser
from oil produced by the Zeita factory, which is a subsidiary
of the Shemen oil company whose kashrus is supervised by
Shearis Yisroel and other kashrus organizations.
Shearis Yisroel launched the distribution project after
gedolei Yisroel gave instructions to fulfill this
hiddur in performing the mitzvah of giving the
terumoh to kohanim for their personal use in
lighting candles and for other purposes. Every family of
kohanim that arrived at the Bnei Brak distribution
point received one canister. The mashgiach at the
factory, Rav Rachamim Almagor, was on hand to see that the
distribution was carried out properly.
