Alluring investments around the world are advertised in
newspaper ads and posters in the streets.
It has come to our attention that a large portion of these
investments are certain to lose money. They are tainted by
mistaken analysis, deceit and chicanery in various forms.
Some of the ads are particularly persuasive, listing sums and
percentages of dividends distributed in the past.
We are not mentioning by name those that are guaranteed
losers to avoid creating the impression others are more
certain or worthwhile. A prominent posek in North
America requested that we make this matter known to the
public as soon as possible to spare innocent avreichim
from losing their capital.
