National Council for Taharas Hamishpochoh in the UK

At a recent meeting of the National Council for Taharas
Hamishpochoh, Dayan Chaim Ehrentreu proposed that Rabbi J. Z.
Dunner take over the chairmanship following the recent
petiroh of the Sassover Rebbe zt"l who had
headed the Council for many years. This was unanimously
adopted and Rabbi Dunner graciously agreed to accept the
responsibility.
The well-attended meeting heard a full report from Dayan
Gukovitski on his inspections of the various provincial
mikvo'os on behalf of the Council. The importance of
these regular inspections and certification was stressed and
endorsed by all the rabbonim present. Experience has shown
that this is the safest and most practical method of ensuring
that all mikvo'os are properly and reliably maintained
to the best standards of kashrus.
Appreciation was expressed for the methodical and
professional way in which these inspections are carried out.
The rabbonim of the council undertook to raise the necessary
funds to ensure the program would continue and be expanded to
meet the needs of the growing number of provincial
mikvo'os.
