The books recently republished by the organization Jewish
Marriage Education (JME), merited the blessings of gedolei
Yisroel, headed by Maran HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv, who
also appointed a committee of rabbonim to oversee this
important organization.
Gedolei Yisroel expressed their approbation and
blessings regarding the activities of JME, headed by Rabbi
and Rebbetzin Abramov. They also issued special letters which
were published on the occasion of the publishing of the new
edition of the organization's seforim.
The organization was started eighteen years ago with the
encouragement and guidance of the HaRav Shlomoh Zalman
Auerbach zt"l and ylct"a HaRav Yosef Sholom
Eliashiv, with whom the heads of the organization consulted
regarding their activities.
Working on a totally voluntary basis, this organization has
taken as its primary aim the enhancement of holiness in Am
Yisroel according to the traditions of our great sages
throughout the generations. Courses have so far been given to
about four thousand men and women teachers all over the
Jewish world, including a Eretz Yisroel, the USA, Canada,
England, Belgium, France, Switzerland, South Africa and South
America.
It should be noted that in preparation for the new editions
of the books, HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv appointed a
commission of rabbonim to reexamine the books of JME. The
members of the commission were the HaRav Yitzchok
Zilberstein, HaRav Simcha HaKohen Kook, and HaRav Arye
Dvir.
At the request of HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv, HaRav Yitzchok
Zilberstein reviewed the books carefully and added comments,
explanations and adaptations, consulting with HaRav Nissim
Karelitz, who ensured the adaptation of the books for Jewish
women, according to the tradition.
In his letter, which was endorsed also by the other rabbonim
on the commission, HaRav Yitzchok Zilberstein writes: "I
believe that these books are worthy to be used by honorable
Jewish `princesses' and to lecture based on them, and we pray
to Hashem Yisborach that these books will bring
benefit to Bnos Yisroel and they should build their homes
with holiness and purity, on the road paved by our holy fore-
fathers and fore-mothers."
HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv endorsed the letter of HaRav
Zilberstein as did HaRav Moshe Shmuel Shapira and HaRav Chaim
Pinchas Scheinberg.
HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv wrote: "I join my blessings to
the Abramov family, that they succeed in their holy endeavors
under the guidance of the above rabbonim hageonim."
HaRav Moshe Shmuel Shapira wrote: "The words of the Geonim
and Rabbonim do not need support and surely Hashem's blessing
will rest upon mezakei horabim who benefit the public,
those dear people who for many years have been active in
enhancing purity in Yisroel according to the guidance of the
gedolei HaTorah, HaRav and HaRabbonit Abramov, and
they should carry on their great work under the guidance of
gedolei Torah for many years to come."
HaRav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg wrote in his letter: "Rav
Yirmiyahu Abramov and his wife tichye are already
known for their self-sacrifice and voluntary activities in
helping Klal Yisroel to maintain Toras Habayis,
which constitutes the basis of kedushas Yisroel in
halochoh and in machshovoh."
