Shinui Party members from Kfar Saba demonstrated outside a
Zol-Poh outlet in Kfar Saba's industrial area to protest
management's request to come to the store in modest and
suitable attire.
The demonstrators, most of who are vying for the city council
on Shinui's list in the city, carried signs reading, "Zol-Poh
is not Bnei Brak," and called on the secular public to
boycott the chain.
Thousands of Kfar Saba residents continue to show their
satisfaction with the store's service, low prices and
selection of mehadrin food items by electing to do
their shopping there despite attempts at provocation by
Shinui and Meretz activists.
The head of the Zol-Poh chain says the company's policy of
upholding standards of modesty at all of its branches across
the country was established at the time of its founding and
will not be compromised under any circumstances.
Most customers show understanding for this policy, which
generally fosters coexistence more than segregation. Kfar
Saba's religious residents voiced their appreciation for the
act of kiddush Hashem berabim by the outlet's heads in
insisting on reasonable standards of modesty.
