Army Commander Calls Upon HaRav Yosef Sholom

Colonel Gal Hirsch, commander of the Binyamin Brigade,
called upon HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv on 17 Teves,
reporting on recent measures to increase security in the
Modi'in Illit region which includes Kiryat Sefer and
Brachfeld Estates as well as asking the rov for his
brocho.
One of these measures involves the closure of roads near
Modi'in Illit to Arab vehicles.
Colonel Hirsch reported that there has been no terrorist
activity inside Modi'in Illit since the onset of the current
Arab uprising. Hirsch is in charge of the Binyamin region,
whose eastern side extends from Shechem and Ram'alah to
Jerusalem and whose western region extends until the Modi'in
region.
Colonel Hirsch asked HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv to bless
him with success in all of his efforts.
