Renewed efforts are being made to fortify and preserve the
purity of the chinuch in the country's Beis Yaakov
schools, schools that have produced generations of outstanding
Jewish mothers who built their homes with Torah and pure
yiras Shomayim.
The Beis Yaakov legacy and curricula have been shaped by the
gedolei Yisroel and tzaddikim in every
generation who laid resolute foundations for the
chinuch of Jewish girls in the authentic Torah way.
In light of current events, a special rabbinical committee
representing gedolei Yisroel has been set up to ensure
that no alteration in the principles of this chinuch
take place in Beis Yaakov schools. The committee members are
the sole parties authorized by gedolei Yisroel to
present da'as Torah on current educational issues.
The Rabbinical Committee will assist school principals in
their efforts to preserve and fortify the purity of the
chinuch of the Beis Yaakov schools.
The committee was founded in Cheshvan 5760. Its members are
HaRav Aviezer Shapira, HaRav Tzvi Cohen, HaRav Tzvi Weber,
HaRav Avrohom Tzvi Cohen, HaRav Pinchos Zender and HaRav Yosef
Amram Moshkowitz.
