A Religious High Tech Park
by Yated Ne'eman Staff
According to a report in Yediot Achronot, a high tech
park is planned within Bnei Brak's municipal boundaries to
be oriented towards religious employees. Advanced
negotiations are said to be taking place about the planning
and development between the Africa-Israel group, controlled
by religious businessman Lev Leviev, Bank Leumi's investment
company and Israel Association of Contractors and Builders
president Uri Dori. The Ministry of the Interior and Israel
Land Administration (ILA) support the plan.
The park will be on one of the most strategically located
plots in the center of the country, between Petach Tikva and
the Ayalon Highway, in the area designated Municipal
Construction Plan 566 which encompasses 500,000 square
meters, as reported in Yated on parshas
Noach.
Bnei Brak mayor Rabbi Mordechai Karlitz initiated the
setting up of the 350,000 sq.m. high tech compound. Under
his plan, part of the park will be designated for religious
high tech workers.
