Registration in Eitz Hadaas Kindergartens Underway

by Betzalel Kahn

Registration is currently underway for the Eitz Hadaas network of kindergartens in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Kiryat Sefer, Brachfeld Estates, Elad, Mazkeret Batya and Rechovot.

The Eitz Hadaas network was founded four years ago with the blessings and under the direction of maranan verabonon. The kindergartens have gained the acclaim of parents, who are pleased with its educational level. The network has fulfilled its aim of helping its young students integrate into the elementary educational system by giving them a basic Torah education based on the Torah way of life as led in the yeshiva community.

During the girls' time in the network of schools, Torah becomes ingrained into their personalities.

The boys' kindergartens, which have opened over the past three years, have also met with much success in their efforts. In these kindergartens, children acquire the behavior patterns to enable them to be among the first to be accepted to talmudei Torah and mechinos of their choice.

This year, scores of parents and community leaders have requested that the Eitz Hadaas school network be expanded to their community, all over the country.

Although the Eitz Hadaas administration is very proud of the success of these kindergartens, but it also has many complaints against the Jerusalem Municipality, mainly with the inadequate buildings the school has received and the Municipality's failure to assist in the administration's financial burden. The school rents apartments due to a lack of classrooms. So far the Jerusalem Municipality has not offered any assistance for improvement of the physical conditions of the school. The Eitz Hadaas administration feels that this indicates favoritism and discrimination.
