Registration for the day care centers of Beis Yaakov has
already begun in Jerusalem and in other areas all over the
country, and will end within two weeks, on Thursday, the 20th
of Iyar.
The Neshei Me'onos Yom -- Beis Yaakov organization (the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Beis Yaakov Day Care Centers) which
is heading the registration campaign for the year 5760,
launched it on Sunday, the 9th of Iyar on a countrywide
basis. The following cities have day-care centers: Beitar,
Arad, Chatzor Hagliglit, Emanuel, Haifa, Chazon Yechezkel,
Kfar Gid'on, Kiryat Sefer, Batcha, Tifrach, Ashdod, Kiryat
Gat, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Petach Tikvah, Elad Mazor and
Tsefas.
These day centers are highly acclaimed, due to the dedication
of their directors and staff, and the efforts they make to
ensure the welfare of the infants and small children in their
care. The directors of the centers are carefully chosen and
supervised by Mrs. Ahuva Zaks.
Children of working mothers and children from large families
are eligible for discounts according to the criteria of the
Labor and Welfare Ministry. In order to receive such
discounts, the following documents must be presented at
registration: wage stubs for March '99, or a tax estimate for
independent employees from 1998, including the number of
hours the mother works per week. A working mother with three
children under 18 is eligible for a discount if she works at
least 24 hours a week. Children who are referred to the
centers by the local welfare office must have a letter of
recommendation from a social worker. Registration began
Sunday the 9th of Iyar, in the day care centers. The
registration times are Sunday and Thursday, 9-12, and Monday
and Wednesday, 2-6.
Children who attend the day care centers this year must re-
register for the forthcoming year.
