"When we work to strengthen Yiddishkeit with complete harmony
and unity, and work together out of ahavas Yisroel and
camaraderie with the full cooperation of all representatives,
we will be able to make great achievements and raise kevod
Shomayim." This was the message conveyed by the president
of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Agudas Yisroel, the Admor
of Vishnitz, to the candidates of UTJ's Knesset slate, who
together called upon him in his home in Bnei Brak during
Pesach.
Throughout the visit, the Admor discussed many topics on the
agenda of UTJ at length, especially the battle it currently
faces on the eve of the elections. At the conclusion of his
heartfelt words he blessed the candidates with success and
expressed the hope that they merit to stand firm on all
issues pertaining to the preservation of Yiddishkeit
in Eretz Yisroel.
Present on that occasion were the six first candidates of
UTJ's slate: Rabbi Meir Porush, Rabbi Avrohom Ravitz, Rabbi
Yaakov Litzman, Rabbi Moshe Gafni, Rabbi Shmuel Halpert,
Rabbi Yisroel Eichler and Rabbi Yaakov Veltzer, secretary of
the Moetzes.
