As of January 18 (8 Shevat) 204.2 millimeters of rain had
fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season
(August 1 to date). This is 83% of the average
rainfall for this period and 39% of the average rainfall for
the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 522 mm. We caught up a little this past week.
November was unusually wet this year.
The main rain months are December, January and February, but there is
still rain in March.
The current level of the Kinneret is -211.095 meters below
sea level, which is 2.295 meters below the full red line of -208.8 meters.
Relatively little water is taken out as the bulk of Israel's drinking water comes from desalination.
