The shemittah rally last week
The current winter zman was launched with heightened emotions of sanctity as the aftermath of the impressive and inspiring rally of the yeshiva world at the "Siach Emunah," the Address of Emunah, and the unification of yeshiva students which took place at the Arena stadium in Yerushalayim. We reported this event last week.
Special emphasis is being placed upon this shmittah year and the studies of the laws thereof as was implemented by our Torah leaders, roshei yeshiva and Torah disseminators, per the direction and outline of Sar HaTorah HaRav Chaim Kanievsky in his letter on the eve of this year: "During this shmittah year, it is necessary to establish daily sessions of studying two halochos each day without fail whereby we will be spared all suffering this year."
The tremendous demand to join the tens of thousands who are studying two halochos each day is gathering momentum from day to day with the help of the Siach Emunah Institute attempting to fill the tremendous demand of the many to supply the editions of the study texts. These include the new release of "Derech Emunah," revised and vowelized texts, incorporating explanations, important commentary and directions from the works and thoughts of HaRav Kanievsky, appended by the observations of our foremost poskim.
Concurrently, there exists a tremendous demand for the Siach Emunah text with all of its shmittah and yovel laws which was authored by HaRav Yitzchok Shaul Kanievsky, culled from his father's "Derech Emunah" work. The masses of Torah students also study the Kitzur Dinei Sheviis works which include Rav Kanievsky's halachic decisions, directives and practices, and also include rare correspondence from him on the shmittah subject, also a product of the Siach Emunah Institute.
