As of March 11 (27 Adar) 385 millimeters of rain have
fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season
(August 1 to date). This represents 86% of the average
rainfall for this period and 72% of the average rainfall for
the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most of the country the rainfall is about average
rainfall for the period. There has been more rain in the rainier parts. The main rain months are December, January and February.
The current level of the Kinneret, updated as of March 4, is -209.235 meters below
sea level, which only 0.435 meters below the full red line of -208.8 meters. It rose in the last week. It is more than 3 meters above the lower red line. No announcement has been made about opening the Degania Dam. If the level is less than half a meter, they may open the dam. Relatively little water is taken out as the bulk of Israel's drinking water comes from desalination. Keep davening.
