A Special Siyum Shas in Eretz Yisroel

Chareidi Jewry in Eretz Yisroel across the entire spectrum is eagerly anticipating the momentous united and central thirteenth Siyum HaShas Bavli which will take place next week, on Monday, 23rd of Teves (January 20) as the joint "Together, all the Tribes of Jewry", headed by Torah leaders, primarily Sar HaTorah HaRav Chaim Kanievsky and the Rosh Yeshiva HaRav Gershon Eidelstein. They will be joined by other members of Moetzes Gedolei and Chachmei HaTorah, roshei yeshivos, Admorim, rabbonim and thousands of maggidei shiur throughout the country.
The moving event of the joyous culmination of the study of the entire Talmud, combined with the commencement of the fourteenth cycle, which thousands of Jews have joined, will take place in the Menorah stadium (formerly Yad Eliyahu) in Tel Aviv. The announcement thereof evoked waves of anticipation and excitement in the Torah-true public, especially those who have completed the study cycle in previous rounds and the thousands which joined it for the first time. (We reported earlier that it was supposed to take place 3 Teves/December 31.)
It will represent a yoma tava derabbonon, a festive day which will culminate the entire chain of celebrations held very ceremoniously but privately in all communities. This festivity will unite all those places with a sweeping climax and surge of chizuk for the present cycle up till the next siyum over seven years hence, in Sivan, 5787.
