Israeli Chareidim Have Very Few Dogs

Dei'ah Vedibur Staff

The Israeli Ministry of Farming has maintained a registry of all the dogs of Israel since 2004, and the latest report it released showed chareidi cities as having the fewest dogs in Israel.

Altogether, exactly 789,089 dogs were ever registered in Israel, of which 445,800 are still alive.

Tel Aviv is the city with the most dogs: 32,000. Haifa is next with 14,700 dogs, followed by Rishon Letzion with 13,575.

Chareidi cities proudly bring up the rear. Modiin Illit (Kiryat Sefer) only has 3 dogs registered, while Rechasim has 6 and Beitar Illit has 19.
