Rain and Kinneret Watch

by Dei'ah Vedibur Staff

Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret - 5778.

As of February 22 (7 Adar) 319 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 80% of the average rainfall for this period and 60% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.

This week there was some rain, making up some underperformance of the average.

The current level of the Kinneret is -213.685 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. It went up about 5 inches in the last week. This is better than the week before but still much slower than it needs to go up.
